Anubistic Power II: The 8 + 1 Horsemen of the Anubistic Apocalypse

The Prophet has been asked for a closer look at the players of power...

Context

The President of the Italian Republic since 2015 has been Sergio Mattarella; mattarello is Italian for rolling pin. Offending the honour of the President is a criminal offence in Italy.

The Prophet has been asked for a closer look at the players of power, so we shall try to draw up a “Practical guide for young adepts lost in a sea of arseholes with power”: a help for young Anubists in telling apart the various Players of Power, so that at least they know which direction the shovelfuls of manure are coming from.

We can divide them up like this:

1. Finance.

A criminal conspiracy with offices in every country and its heart on Wall Street.

It uses “legal tender” as a leash and the banks as kennels.

Finance and the banks exist only because you are obliged to use their colourful flyers they call money and obliged to keep them in the bank, or else “you're a tax dodger”.

It steals your future with the secret weapon of public debt and inflation, while it has you sign incomprehensible forms with a reassuring smile.

If you don't trust it, you're a tax dodger.

If you do trust it, you're a Dim Soul.

N.B. State finance has no interest whatsoever in creating wealth, only in destroying it.

The more you adore Anubis for lack of money, the deeper you get into debt and the richer they get, charging you interest on “money” created out of thin air.

In response, some Dim Soul asks for “more State”.

2. Political Power (aka the Wizard of Laws)

It churns out rule upon rule to make you believe you are free while it chains you up with coloured cable ties.

It splits into two branches:

The Classic Politician, who talks, promises and then vanishes like a fart in a lift.

The Justice System, which is supposed to make you feel safe… if you're a politician, a priest or a multinational.

Bonus Track: the Trade Unions, happy hour for lobbies dressed up as Robin Hood.

3. The “Associations” (NGOs, Foundations, “Friends of Discord”)

From your living room to Davos by way of the town hall of Middle-of-Fucking-Nowhere, these entities explain to you how to live better… while doing business in your name.

They are not quite sure whom they represent, but they have a website with logos and a mission statement in English.

They are political players paid with your money.

Their job is to make problems for you, for instance by blocking the traffic.

4. The "Market" (which is neither free nor, for that matter, private)

You keep hearing that “it's all capitalism's fault!” or “it's globalisation's fault” and also “it's the fault of too much market freedom”.

Right, if you too have swallowed these fairy tales, let's try to work out where the fuck the freedom is.

The so-called private market is in reality, for the most part, a big spoilt cat that only eats if the State fills its bowl.

It is a system that calls itself “free” but can't take a shit without the help of laws, subsidies, tax breaks, rigged tenders, tariff protection, public bailouts and above all the legal violence of the State.

5. The “workers”.

For the sake of clarity and the adoration of Anubis, let us split the so-called "workers" into categories:

Those who work for the State: They are the official servants of Power.

Civil servants, officials, clerks, teachers, soldiers, priests living off a slice of your income tax, members of committees with Latin names and pensions in euros.

They are a direct part of the State machine, but they are not even the guiltiest: many of them don't even know what they are working for.

They simply passed a public exam or served as altar boys.

Those who work thanks to the State: These go under the heading “takepreneurs”.

They are the ones who call themselves “private entrepreneurs” but survive only on public money:

The publicly contracted private clinic.

The builder living off regional contracts.

The security firm subcontracted by the subcontractor.

The consultant on the correct curvature radius of bananas.

These gentlemen probably far outnumber the civil servants.

Those who work because the State obliges it: These are the people whom the real private market is forced by the State to pay: professionals, entrepreneurs, craftsmen and shopkeepers who work thanks to obligations imposed by absurd laws and mastodontic bureaucracy, or to provide services that nobody wants but are imposed by law. Examples:

The technician who has to certify that the staircase in your block of flats has an “ethical flight of steps”.

The company that has to hire a consultant to update the update of the safety update and certify the certification.

The tax adviser who every month translates the laws of the State into fiscal Aramaic so that you don't get arrested for getting a tax code wrong.

The consultant who certifies that your company is inclusive towards pangolins.

These people have to work not to produce wealth, but so that you don't get punished.

They get up in the morning to save you from fines, penalties and “non-compliance”, acting as a buffer between the State and those who produce real wealth.

This category is the perfect picture of modern legalised slavery: formally free, but chained to a system that crushes us with deadlines, acronyms and threats.

6. Science

In theory it seeks the truth, in practice it seeks funding.

Ears pricked like Anubis' own, but only when it's time to say: “everything is under control” (spoiler: it isn't).

The independent researcher? An endangered species, like common sense. The job? Proving true whatever the funder asks for. The only goal? The emergency: More emergency, more money.

7. Information

Hacks for hire, social media, TV, podcasts, newsletters and even the bloke shouting in the bar.

They all “inform” you only if you pay them or if it suits Power.

Some cry “freedom of the press”, but they are printed by advertising.

Others say “truth”, but the truth changes when the sponsor changes.

Here we have public operators (directly subsidised by the State) who will do pure propaganda, others that are in theory private, semi-subsidised and dependent on advertising, and so indirectly in the pay of private lobbies, and others with no advertising, in theory free because they live on private donations.

Obviously, once the donations reach a certain percentage, the freedom becomes debatable.

8. The people

Divided into two castes:

Those who keep others (they work, pay, get stressed).

Those who get kept (politicians, influencers, “activists”, and the odd 53-year-old uncle still on his mum's sofa).

Then there are the Useful Idiots, the ones who get pissed off with the uncle on the sofa but not with whoever fucked up their present and their future.

+1. Crime

Official crime.

A certified-origin product of the State.

The State makes the rules, then decides who is outside the law.

If the outlaw is useful to the State, he carries on outlawing.

Thefts, robberies and so on go unpunished; but Anubis help you if you insult that rolling pin of a “president”, or you end up in jail.

Mafia, petty crime, grand-scale arseholery.

As if all the rest were not enough, here is another player ready to steal your TV and your peace of mind.

“Crime” (mafia, home-grown crime and imported crime) is notoriously a product of the State, because its limits and its territory are decided by the State in its own interest.

Prophetic Conclusion:

All these players present themselves as rivals, but in reality they are playing the same game: squeezing you dry.

They use the State as the puppeteer, the laws as strings, and you as the puppet who applauds while they cut off its balls too.

All of them are playing for slices of power that you handed over to them.

The State, in fact, is not just the civil servant: it is all of them put together, one great tentacled entity with the voice of bureaucracy and breath that smells of revenue stamps.

Let us try to define the free market as the sum of the workers who independently produce goods and services that you buy by free choice: how many are there? A few?

Well, those are the real free market, that is, the ones who produce real wealth.

Is that handful of people supposed to be responsible for the whole disaster we see?

The reality is that what is called the free market does not exist, so there is no point at all in criticising it.
The “market” is not free.
The “private sector” is not independent.

The economic system is a gigantic State spider's web, where the “spiders” suck public money and the “flies” work so as not to get eaten. (There would also be the pangolins fucking the she-bats, but that's another story.)

When the good Anubist hears talk of the “free market”, he doesn't get indignant.

He simply turns towards the sky, smiles with one ear only and prays: “Dog God almighty, call it by its real name: Parasitic Joint-Stock Company under State Patronage.”

So as not to throw the puppy out with the bathwater, it must be said that banks, finance, accountants, certifiers and so on, in a system free from the State, are fundamental pillars for the development and production of wealth: it is only the reality imposed by the State that has forced them to be partly a damage rather than an added value.

So what is to be done?

As we were saying, never give up even the most infinitesimal little piece of your freedom, because that is called Power, and you can be sure they will always use it to fuck you.

Openly adore God the Dog thy Lord every time you deal with someone who wants to “represent” you, because all he is after is Power.
